IC T1 Low by Michael Anastassiades

Description
With his IC Lights for Flos, Cypriot-born, London-based designer Michael Anastassiades sought to capture the maneuvering of a juggler making a ball move with ease and balancing it at startling angles. The playful image is complicated by Anastassiades's use of “IC”: a reference to the identity code used to evaluate immigrants entering the United Kingdom and the balancing act they face in adjusting to a new country. This table lamp consists of a mouth-blown opaline sphere held up by a branched frame of gleaming brass. A dimmer on the power cord makes it easy to adjust the diffused balance of light.
